Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
