The former personal attorney for Donald Trump has left her position as the US Attorney for New Jersey. This decision was prompted by a judicial decision that invalidated her legal standing to hold the office.
Attorney General's Statement
US Attorney General, Pam Bondi, announced Habba's resignation on the start of the week. In a statement that the court's "flawed" ruling made it unworkable for the official to perform her duties.
"Do not interpret adherence to the ruling as defeat," she declared. "This battle will now reach across the nation."

The departure follows closely on a federal appellate panel determined that she had been serving in violation of the law as US attorney. This ruling is expected to impact scores of criminal cases in New Jersey.
